Uiver Restoration Project are restoring a 1934 Douglas DC-2 aircraft, which when completed will form the center piece of a museum and education center commemorating the forced landing of the Dutch airliner “The Uiver” on Albury racecourse during the early hours of the 24 October 1934.
Visitors can view the DC-2 under restoration, hear and read the story of the Great Air Race and the part Albury played in saving the Uiver from disaster.
