Ready to make the most of your visit to Albury Wodonga?

We’ve compiled a must-see checklist for your Albury Wodonga stay. From lakeside walks and mountain views to art, food and family-friendly fun, here are all the experiences you simply cannot miss. Tick them off as you go!

☑️ Lake Hume

There’s no missing it. This vast lake is the pride of the region and offers plenty of ways to enjoy the experience. Walk the dam wall, hire a kayak, fish for redfin or spread out a picnic blanket and skim stones. If you’ve ever wondered how people kept themselves entertained before smartphones, this is it.

☑️ Monument Hill Memorial

With just a quick drive or an uphill walk, you can look straight down on Albury’s famous Dean Street – and beyond. The war memorial is striking, honouring those who served in World War I. It’s a place for quiet reflection – with panoramic views across Albury.

☑️ Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk and Noreuil Park

This riverside trail is a soulful mix of art, nature and Indigenous storytelling. Start at Noreuil Park and follow the path past large-scale sculptures and mirrored reflections. Make time for a coffee at River Deck Café and, if you’ve got swimmers handy, wade into the river. If the coffee didn’t work, an invigorating plunge will shock you awake. We promise.

☑️ Hunchback Hill at Sunrise

Set that pre-dawn alarm, question your life choices, then get moving. Whether you’re on foot or pedals, the sunrise view from Hunchback makes the uphill climb totally worth it. Bring a thermos of coffee to reward your efforts.

☑️ Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA)

World-class contemporary art lives here. With ever-changing exhibitions, kid-friendly spaces and a great café next door, MAMA is a no-brainer on your checklist. Entry is free, which means more cash for that second coffee.

☑️ Hyphen – Wodonga Library Gallery

Hyphen is where literature meets art and parents meet their happy place. There’s a kids’ Playspace upstairs and a treasure trove of books downstairs – so everyone wins.

From the regionally famous schnitzels at The Bended Elbow to pizza at Downtown Pizzeria, there’s no shortage of flavour. Stop at BeanStation Cafe, The Goods Shed or La Maison for brunch or lunch – or cocktails, if you’re feeling fancy.

☑️ Belvoir Park Playground and Oddies Creek Adventure Playspace

Belvoir Park and Oddie’s Creek offer expansive, creative play spaces that will keep the whole gang happy. Multiple adventure zones for kids of all ages, with plenty of green space and shady trees. Let the kids burn off some energy while you laze on a picnic rug under a shady tree and finish that novel. Ha. Just kidding. We can dream, can’t we?
