Nothing beats the feeling of getting out and about in a boat. The view from your own boat can calm, exhilarate or entertain you depending on your purpose. Our own Lake Hume, at a size six times that of Sydney Harbour, has plenty of room for boaties to find the perfect water for what you’re chasing, be it the one that won’t get away, or a flat stretch of calm, skiable water.

Get on the water quicker than you can cast a line

Over a long summer, our lake level can tend to gently drop  – but don’t stress, there’s more than enough water for all users, and a boat ramp to assist getting your craft launched without a worry. At Huon Reserve, you’ll get your boat in safely until the lake level drops below 20%. One of the two ramps at Bowna Waters is usable at a level down to 15%. Should the level drop below 15%, you’ll still find easy launching at Ludlow’s Reserve, Ebden Reserve, and the always reliable Lake Hume Resort.

Stand up paddleboards are available to hire

If you don’t have your own boat, we’ve options for you too. There are kayaks and stand up paddleboards for hire at Lake Hume Resort and Paddle Tribe (in central Albury) or get in touch with Adventure Ski, they offer skiing and wakeboarding experiences with all the gear supplied.
