We do mountain biking well around these parts. Whether you’re into flowy singletrack, gnarly descents or a good climb that gets the lungs burning, we’ve got a checklist to tick all your boxes.

☑️ Ride the High Country Rail Trail

  • Cycle the lakeside section from Wodonga to Lake Hume; it’s flat, cruisy and family friendly.
  • Head to Sandy Creek Bridge and take a selfie with the lake backdrop.
  • Keep going toward Tallangatta if you want a longer ride.

☑️ Ride Huon Hill Parklands

  • Ride the rolling hills of the 238 hectares Huon Hill bush park.
  • Spectacular views rising 428 metres above sea-level over the Albury-Wodonga region.
  • Challenge yourself with several trails but be warned: it’s very steep in places!
Bikes lean against the poles of a picnic shelter with a red corrugated iron roof. A family sits at the picnic table looking out over Lake Hume, where tree branches can be seen sticking out above the water level.
