Walking through the stories of Bonegilla Migrant Experience

You may even find a personal connection to the people and experiences that helped shape the community we call home today.

Explore Aboriginal sculpture walks

Hugging both sides of the Murray, hidden among the river red gums and bushland are the stories of local Aboriginal people. On the Albury side, walk the 5km Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk, where 15 sculptures share stories of Country, culture and connection to the Murray River. Continue your journey under the Union Bridge to the Crossing Place Trail and Gateway Island Trail, where art, nature and history come together. As you wander along the river’s edge, take the time to pause, reflect and gain a deeper understanding of Aboriginal heritage that has shaped our landscape for thousands of years.
