- The Albury Wodonga Farmers Market is a great place to grab a coffee and fresh pastry or egg and bacon roll on Saturday morning. The market runs from 8.00am – 12.00pm, so whether you spring out of bed at sunrise or hit snooze, there’s time to pick up breaky.
- After the markets, book in a Pilates or yoga class next door at Self Pilates (this one is for the earlier risers.)
- In October, Albury Wodonga is just starting to warm up, which is perfect for a relaxing picnic at the Albury Botanic Gardens after a big night.
- Maybe you’d prefer a massage or spa treatment at Basq Urban Spa and Beauty, The Ritual, or Endota Spa.
- It’s probably still a little chilly for a dip in the Murray River – but it’s a beautiful time of year to jump in a canoe with Murray River Canoe Hire or Canoe the Murray.

- If the music of Thirsty Merc has got you feeling a little more contemplative, MAMA has several exhibit spaces showcasing artworks by a variety of artists.
- For the historically inclined, the Albury LibraryMuseum’s Bungambrawatha: Stories of Albury exhibit is full of interesting artefacts and thoughtful accounts that give an insight into Albury’s history.
- Sneaky Cat Pickleball is a fun alternative to tennis for those who want to get the blood pumping.
- When it’s time to start thinking about lunch, the only downside is there might be TOO many options. Astor hotel Albury, Public house Albury, and The Bended Elbow are a great place to start if you can’t decide.
- Albury Wodonga is home to some great local breweries. The Thirsty Devil Brewery and Murray Towns Brewing Co offer a range of beers brewed on site and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for an afternoon with mates.

- If you like your exercise a little more mental than physical, Escape Room Albury and LOKT Escape Rooms will push you to the edge and you’ll have fun while they do.
- Lake Hume is only 15 minutes from town. Take a walk across the Hume Dam Wall and stay for spectacular sunset views.
- You can use your New South Wales OR Victorian fishing license at Lake Hume, so why not hitch your boat, pack the fishing rod and stay at Discovery Parks Lake Hume, Victoria or Discovery Parks Lake Hume, New South Wales.
- Bonegilla Migrant Experience is open 10.00am – 4.00pm every day. Discover the incredible journeys made by the 320,000 migrants who arrived here between 1947 and 1971.
- Albury Wodonga is surrounded by hills, so we are blessed with some beautiful lookout points. Check out Huon Hill Lookout, Eastern Hill Reserve, Nail Can Hill, or Monument Hill Reserve.

- The Wodonga Rail Bypass was sweet relief to city drivers, but also left room for the development of Junction Place. The former railway station is now a hub of dining and leisure. Dine on the old platform at Bean Station Cafe or have a beer in The goods shed. Grab an ice cream from Topolino Gelateria or a coffee at Piccolo pod. Stick around for the On the Border Community Markets from 9.00am – 1.00pm on Sunday 5 October.
- Our region is filled with talented artists and we are lucky to have an abundance of public art – take a walk along the Gateway Island Trail or Yindyamarra Sculpture walk to discover sculptures by local indigenous artists or check out the Albury Wodonga Public Art Trail to explore local murals.
- There’s plenty of shopping to do, so make a visit to Di Billiet, Zeinert and Co, Booktique and Almar organics to fill your canvas bags.
- It’s only a short trip to Rutherglen for the wine lovers’ playground.
- When the sun sets and you’re ready to start partying again, Temperance and general have great cocktails, or head back to Beer deluxe for more music and good times.
