Warm winter nights

When the temperature drops, few places are better than in front of a fire. The waft of warm smoke and the glow of embers is oh-so enchanting! Grab a bevvy, a bite to eat and perch yourself in front of one of our favourite Albury Wodonga fireplaces.

La Maison – The fireplace may be small but it’s got a lot of heart! The rustic fit-out complements their homely hospitality, but there’s nothing homely about the diverse menu. There’s everything from tasty dumplings to Middle Eastern Shawarma and French-inspired sweet delights.

Two Fingers Gentlemen’s Bar – Nab a spot on one of the giant leather chesterfields or warm your back against the grand open fire, overlooked by a giant mounted deer head. Settle in with a mulled wine or take your choice from the mammoth selection of whiskeys. Intimate live music gigs are this boutique venue’s speciality.

The Astor is a favourite of those in the know. Cosy up to the table-top enclosed fire and warm your hands around a glass of local red. While you’re there, sample the chef’s specials from their woodfire grill and rotisserie menu.

The Goods Shed – A giant central fireplace is the focus here while you make your selection from the huge selection of craft beer on tap. Keep an eye out for their regular tap takeovers and weekend live music afternoons.
