Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Carnival

The iconic Albury Gold Cup Carnival takes place every March (Sunday 18 & Friday 23 March 2018). This is the biggest country race meet in NSW, which draws 18,000 people over two days and has won several racing awards. $850,000 in prize money, trophies and bonuses on offer over two days with the feature race - $180,000 Listed Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup (2000m).
Hospitality marquees along the length of the straight and in the centre of the course cater for the thousands who flock to enjoy the party atmosphere throughout the Carnival.
Try your luck at the fashions on the field competition or have a punt on the horses.

The Albury Gold Cup Carnival begins with a relaxed family orientated picnic day. The Sunday Session, in addition to the horseracing, will delight the senses a host of food trucks including Andiamo Street Food, Riverina Catering Company – Mexican Selection, Ashlar Wood Fire Pizza, Slinky Spuz and Fiona Landy Catering.
A cellar door experience will showcase local wineries including Buller Wines, Cofield Wines, Brown Brothers of Milawa and All Saints Estate.
Bring along a picnic blanket under the shade of the Elms and experienced the fun of the races while listening to Andrew Wishart who will be performing live.
The much antipated Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup Day caters for all race goers with a range of packages and marrquess available. From genreal admission to the Birdcage marquee, however you like to experience the races, The Albury Gold Cup Carnival has you covered.
This year there will be more bars and areas for the general public. Race goers are welcome to bring their own picnic rugs and chairs to ensure for a comfortable day.

NB: Persons under the age of 18 must me accompanied by a responsible adult for entry to the source.
Buses will be operating from central Albury to the racecourse between 11.00am - 2.00pm on Friday 23 March every 30 minutes from the following stops:
  • Atura Albury (Dean Street)
  • QEII Square (Dean Street)
  • Myer Shopping Centre (David Street)
  • Lavington Shopping Centre (Griffith Road)
  • Thurgoona Plaza
  • Thurgoona Drive (opposite St Hillaire)
  • Elizabeth Mitchell Dr & Quondong Streets
The return trips will operate between 4.30pm - 8.00pm dropping at Dean St, Lavington Shopping Centre & Thurgoona on demand.
Cost of the bus travel is $8.00 per way
A Nightrider Bus will be operating after the Albury Gold Cup that will drop you at your doorstep across Albury Wodnga for $5 per person. This service will be departing from Public House, Dean Street Albury form 10.00pm til late.

Trackside 400 Club

Trackside 400 Club provide a relaxed entertainment area adjacent to the main straight for small groups of 20-30 people. Tickets include:
  • Racecourse admission
  • Private 4m x 4m Pagoda and courtyard area inclusive of tables, chairs and market umbrella
  • BBQ Luncheon 1.30pm : 3.00pm with burgers, sausages, kebabs, salads and condiments
  • Beverage Package inclusive of beer, wine, sparkling wine and soft drink operating half an hour prior to first race until last race.
Albury Race Club Members $140 (no racecourse admission pass provided), Non-Members $170 per person.
NB: Based on a minimum of 20 people. Maximum 30 people per pagoda
