Cycling and Mountain Biking

Albury Wodonga is perfect for a holiday on two wheels. There are more than 90kms of stunning tracks and trails in the region, ready for casual family bike rides and serious cycling trips alike.

Cycling

Cycle the peaceful Wagirra Trail on the banks of the Murray River and take in the alpine views of Wodonga’s Huon Hill Parklands. Whatever your choice, you’ll soon be pedalling through some very inspiring scenery. For those who prefer a longer ride, try the High Country Rail Trail. It runs along the old railway line in Wodonga to Old Tallangatta, with a distance of 43km each way.

There are plenty of bike racks located throughout both cities. If you didn’t happen to bring your bike, don’t worry. Check out our list of bike hire operators in Albury and Wodonga.

Mountain Biking

Head to Albury’s Nail Can Hill for a wide range of high adrenaline options and slower paced trails. The single tracks that wind through Wodonga’s Hunchback Hill are also filled with plenty of jumps and rocky sections to navigate. There are more popular MTB places to explore in Beechworth, Mt Beauty, Bright and Wagga Wagga, all within an hour’s drive. For further information visit Albury Wodonga Mountain Bikers.
