Arts and Culture

From first contact with the Wiradjuri people to the city we know today, the Albury Wodonga arts and culture scene is vibrant and alive.

Albury Wodonga offers a rich cultural experience. This is the home of the renowned Flying Fruit Fly Circus, and popular art spaces such as The Cube Wodonga, Hothouse Theatre and Albury Entertainment Centre are a plenty. The multiple art galleries include Arts Space Wodonga, GIGS Gallery, LibraryMuseum and of course MAMA.
MAMA, Murray Art Museum Albury, showcases international touring exhibitions alongside local artists’ work with deep connections to our surrounding regional area and cultural identity. Featuring Canvas, its own onsite restaurant, and a gift shop stocking unique items, MAMA is a must-visit destination.
If you prefer to explore local Indigenous artists outdoors, take some time to visit the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk. For real art buffs and collectors, make sure you visit Sam and Aaron, our local Indigenous gallerists and artists. You'll find them at Wickman Gallery on Dean Street in Albury.

It’s more than a showcase for art – MAMA is an all-encompassing contemporary art experience that balances international touring exhibitions with deep connections to our surrounding regional area and cultural identity. It also features its own on-site café and restaurant, Canvas.

If you prefer to explore local Indigenous artists outdoors, take some time to visit the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk.
