From first contact with the Wiradjuri people to the city we know today, the Albury Wodonga arts and culture scene is vibrant and alive.
 
Albury Wodonga offers a rich cultural experience. This is the home of the renowned Flying Fruit Fly Circus, and popular art spaces such as The Cube Wodonga, Hothouse Theatre and Albury Entertainment Centre are a plenty. The multiple art galleries include Arts Space Wodonga, GIGS Gallery, LibraryMuseum and of course MAMA
MAMA, Murray Art Museum Albury, showcases international touring exhibitions alongside local artists’ work with deep connections to our surrounding regional area and cultural identity. Featuring Canvas, its own onsite restaurant, and a gift shop stocking unique items, MAMA is a must-visit destination.
If you prefer to explore local Indigenous artists outdoors, take some time to visit the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk. Or for Or for real art buffs and collectors, make sure you visit Sam and Aaron, our local Indigenous gallerists and artists. You'll find them at Wickman Gallery on Dean Street in Albury.

MAMA opened its doors in October 2015 with a mission to reimagine what an art museum can be. It’s more than a showcase for art – MAMA is an all-encompassing contemporary art experience that balances international touring exhibitions with deep connections to our surrounding regional area and cultural identity. It also features its own on-site café and restaurant, Canvas.
    
If you prefer to explore local Indigenous artists outdoors, take some time to visit the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk. There are 11 art sites strategically located along the Murray River, and you can download the augmented reality app, APositive, which will help you get the most out of the tour with extra artist commentary . 
 
For real art buffs and collectors, make sure you visit Sam and Aaron, our local Indigenous gallerists and artists. You’ll find them at Central Desert Art Sales on Dean Street in Albury, and both are very happy to share their knowledge and help you select something special.
