Greater Hume
Located north of Albury Wodonga, Greater Hume Shire is a charming mix of towns and villages that ooze history. That includes a submarine museum. With no ocean in site, it’s a little disarming.
With miles of open space, the region has loads of bushwalking, mountain biking and four wheel driving for those who want to be one with nature.
Step into the past at Jindera Pioneer Museum and explore what life was like for early settlers. Walk through a wattle and daub hut, browse Wagner’s General Store, and marvel at the variety of pioneer to late Victorian architecture.
Pop into one of the craft shops that are scattered throughout the region. Find an eclectic mix of locally made items as well as local produce and delicious sweets.
