Join artist and jeweller Maria Klingner for a one day jewellery making workshop at Murray Art Museum Albury.
Students will be guided through the design and fabrication techniques needed to create their very own pair of unique copper and sterling silver drop earrings.
Maria will pass on her experience and expertise in a practical day of foundation skill building, including: Design, Saw piercing, Shaping, Annealing, Texturing, and Finishing.
Students will complete one set of earrings by the end of the day, of their own unique design. The workshop is an ideal entry point to the world of jewellery making and will give students a taste of working with metals.
All materials (copper and sterling silver) and specialised hand tools are provided for this workshop.
MAMA Studio comprises two separate workshop spaces located on the ground floor of the museum, and offers short courses, workshops, school holidays programs, and after school art classes for kids. The museum is open 363 days per year, with a year-round program of exhibitions for all ages.
We look forward to seeing you at the museum soon!
