Cadence: the fleeting end to a body of work, a resolution, a denouement

In this latest exhibition in the Hallway Gallery, artist Frank Burgers presents a series of small abstract studies. These works are the result of a line of compositional enquiry exploring the fundamental elements and principles of art such as colour, line, tone, repetition and balance.

Using a palette of just three colours, each work examines questions: How much blue will work against the black? How much paper can I keep? How many lines are enough?

Weekdays 10:00am to 6:00pm. Weekends 10:00am to 3:00pm.
