Take a trip down memory lane
Experience a trip down memory lane when the local branch of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) celebrates the organisation’s 100-year anniversary at the Jindera Pioneer Museum.
The museum grounds will come alive with a variety of games, crafts, workshops, talks and displays that reflect the bygone days of yesteryear.
Bring your children and grandchildren along for some good old fashion fun and an insight to what life was like without electronics and technology – sure to be an eye opener for many!
The open day is where school groups are welcome to come along and take part in the range of activities staged by the CWA ladies. The fun will continue into Saturday and Sunday where everyone is invited to enjoy and participate in all the events.
There will be a Scottish Piper, a horse-shoeing demonstration, wool spinning as well as treasure hunts for children, cakes and slices for sale and history boards that show what the CWA is about.
On Saturday and Sunday a sausage sizzle will be on offer and you can enjoy a devonshire tea in the museum’s tea rooms as part of your outing.
Come dressed to suit the theme if you have historical garments and refinery and enjoy some authentic old fashioned hospitality.
