Winter Solstice

QEII Square, Dean Street, Albury NSW 2640
  • Fri, 21st June 2019

Each year on 21 June, the community of Albury Wodonga braves the winter cold to show support for those affected by mental illness and suicide. Now in its seventh year, Winter Solstice brings our community together to continue conversations and share experiences around suicide and mental illness.

Shine a light on the darkest night at this year’s annual Winter Solstice event, hosted by Survivors of Suicide and Friends.

The inspirational guest line-up includes Rosie Batty, Commando Steve Willis, MC David Astle, the Scots School Albury Pipe Band and The Northern Folk.

Join us for this free community event. Come to be entertained, enlightened, supportive and supported. Hot food, soup, gluhwein and coffee will be available to purchase on the night. Dress warmly.

‘This event is an example, a template if you like, of how to handle this issue. I’d love to see this in every town.’

Samuel Johnson (speaker at Winter Solstice 2018)
