Albury Wodonga's Nail Can Hill Run was originally the brainchild of orienteer’s Peter Harper and Lester Sawyer. First held in 1977, the run attracted 98 starters. The following year this grew to 474 and now attracts well over 1500 competitors.
From the serious athlete through to walkers and family groups, Nail Can Hill Run is a fun event for the entire family consisting of a number of courses including a Full Can 11.3km, Half Can 4.3km, Primary School Can 4.3km and Mountain Bike Ride 15km.
Taking in the beautiful ranges of Nail Can Hill, participants can enjoy views across the city, bush lands and the Murray River flood plain while following the fire trails through the reserve.
All proceeds generated by the Nail Can Hill go to local charities.
