Community and Farmers Markets

You don't need to visit a restaurant or cafe to sample the regions fresh produce and organic foods. Just head to the Albury Wodonga Community Market on Sundays or the Hume Murray Farmers Market every second Saturday. Alternating between Gateway Island and Hovell Tree Park you can meet local growers, providores and makers with fresh produce to sell.
 

 

Locally Sourced and Made Produce

Pack a picnic rug and fill your basket with local produce and goodies from the Farmers Market. Drop into Jones the Grocer (they have a fabulous cheese room), Dare's Fruit & Veg, Butt's Smokehouse, Formichi's Smallgoods, Nord Bakery or Monumental Ice Creamery. When your basket is full, head to the Murray River or Lake Hume. Or choose one of Albury Wodonga's manicured parks and gardens to relax and indulge in the locally sourced and made produce.
 

 

Community Wood Fired Oven

Take your produce down to Albury's Community Wood Fired Oven at Hovell Tree Park. Discover the joys of slow food, baking your own bread from start to finish and meeting new people. Located under cover in Hovell Tree Park, the Albury Community Wood Fired Oven is fired up every second Sunday for free community use. Alternatively, located next to the Belvoir Park playground is the Wodonga Wood Fired Oven. Buy or make some dough, stock up on pizza topping and join in the fun.
