October in AlburyWodonga is full of fabulous fun, but none more than the annual Wodonga Children’s Fair.
Bigger than ever, the award-winning Children’s Fair is an event not to be missed. Popular, fun and free, this fabulous event is open to families from near and far.
With excitement and adrenaline pumping hard, a visit to the sport and recreation oval should be your first stop. Here you’ll find soccer, cricket, footy and basketball clubs. There’s also running, basketball, squash and hockey clubs with interactive activities for most ages. If sport is not your thing, meet our local Scouts, Navy Cadets and SES members.
If your little ones dream of being a firefighter or police officer, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to introduce them to our local emergency service crews, who’ll be on hand to teach them how to get down low and go, go, go or light up the sirens of the squad car.
Next, it’s time to stop by the food vans for dutch crepes, sausages in bread, slow-cooked meat, fresh juice, coffee, ice creams and food galore.
With the adrenaline at bay, it’s time to enjoy the afternoon at a quieter pace. Seek out the magic shows, theatre performances, quiet spaces and some medieval fun; think tournaments, calligraphy, bookmarking and old-time selfies.
Sit back, relax and enjoy music for the young and young-at-heart, have a close encounter with some of Australia’s favourite reptiles or make your way to the animal nursery for something a little more cute and cuddly.
Wodonga Children’s Fair is the perfect way to spend quality time together.
