Welcome to the mid-point of the school year, when kids get restless and parents get frazzled – thank goodness for school holidays!
Albury Wodonga is your perfect destination for school holiday family fun. Simple delights include packing a picnic lunch or firing up the barbecue at Noreuil Park or Belvoir Park. Pack your bikes or walking shoes and check out our 90+kms of tracks and trails; or for the more adventurous, hit the mountain biking trails of Nail Can or McFarlanes Hill.
Little ones can make friends with the life-size dinosaurs at the gorgeous Albury Botanic Gardens Children’s Garden; while older kids can get tricky at one of the four, well decked-out skate parks. Highlights are the four-metre steel vert ramp in Albury or the grind rails at the Baranduda Bowl.
Indoor activities abound featuring Crazy creatures holiday drop in session, Dino design bags holiday drop in session and a family fun movie night for kids to name a few, at the Albury LibraryMuseum.
Take a tour of Block 19 of the Bonegilla Migrant Centre which housed 320,000 European migrants between 1947 and 1971. Bring a picnic and stay on to enjoy the site and its’ family of kangaroos a little longer. The site opens Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sundays from 10am until 4pm.
Laser tag, mini-golf, indoor trampolining, and rock climbing are all on offer over the holidays. Test your sleuthing skills at the Escape Room Albury, or enjoy the traditional family bonding activities of ten-pin bowling, ice skating, or roller skating.
There’s holiday boredom-busting activity for everyone in Albury Wodonga, come and live a little Albury Wodonga life with us this school holidays!
