Albury’s Gold Cup Carnival has long been the highlight in the region’s racing calendar. Held every March, the Gold Cup Carnival is the largest country race meet in NSW.
And yes we release the Carnival is all about the fillies, but it’s the other things that get us excited.
Essential to any Racing Carnival is the venue. Located five minutes from Albury’s bustling city centre, the Albury Racing Club enjoys views of the surround mountains. Spread a picnic rug beneath the shady elms or grab some friends and enjoy the spoils of a marque. The Albury Gold Cup caters for all style of punters.
Next… the fashion. The Fashion on the Field is hotly contested with racegoers not disappointing in the style stakes. We have straw hats, dainty headpieces, bold print, monochrome ensembles, lace and textured material to rival and major racing carnival. The striking outfit and accessorises can be found at Myer Centrepoint, Zeinert and Zeinert, Country Labels, Pour Mes Amis or Spice Clothing.
And what better way to start the beautification process than a beauty or spa treatment from Basq Beauty Spa and Wellness.
Food stands, bars and cellar door experiences will ensure all punters are well fed and thirsts are being quenched.
