Foodie

- Wander the trails of Wonga Wetlands and enjoy the bird hides.
- Check out the interactive exhibitions at Kidspace at the Albury Art Gallery.
- Grab sausages and bread and head to Lake Hume to fire up one of the barbeques.
Sporty
- Hire a canoe and take a leisurely paddle down the Murray River.
- Pedal along the network of tracks and trails, including the High Country Rail Trail.
- Jog, walk or cycle your way along the Wagirra Trail alongside the Murray River.
- Hire some clubs for a round of golf at the Commercial Golf Resort Albury.
- Throw in a line for some fishing in Lake Hume or the Murray River (make sure you have a licence!).
- Book your bus ticket and hire some skis for a day trip to the snow at Mt Hotham or Falls Creek.
- Bring your boat to Lake Hume to water ski the day away.
Nature
- Pick up a coffee from the Coffee Mamma van, then cross the road for a stroll through the Albury Botanic Gardens.
- See the region from Wodonga’s Huon Hill, with inspiring 360-degree panoramic views.
- Take a joy flight over lush valleys, meandering rivers and creeks, Lake Hume and mountain ranges.
- Walk along the Wagirra Trail alongside the Murray River.
- Take time out with a picnic at Noreuil Park or overlooking Lake Hume.
- Explore the trails of Wonga Wetlands and watch the wildlife from the bird hides.
- Lose yourself in Nail Can Hill Reserve, which offers great views and an abundance of wildflowers in spring.
History
- See the Crossing Place exhibition, Albury LibraryMuseum.
- Visit the traditional Indigenous campsite at Wonga Wetlands, established by local Wiradjuri people.
- Explore Block 19 at Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre for a vivid insight into the hardships migrants faced at their first Australian home.
- View the impressive collection of guns, tanks and medals at the Army Museum Bandiana.
- Drive or walk up Monument Hill to the Albury and District War Memorial, opened on Anzac Day 1925.
- Visit the Hume Wall, a triumph of engineering, and see some of the steam engines and hand tools used to build it.

- Visit Arts Space Wodonga, which features works from north-east Victorian artists.
- See an artist at work or purchase a piece of local art from Gateway Village, Wodonga.
- Check out the sculpture at Gateway Island, between Albury and Wodonga.
- Admire the collections and the architecture of Albury Art Gallery.
- Check out the digital outdoor gallery in QEII Square, on alternate weekends.
- For performing arts, catch a theatre show, dance or comedy act at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
Driving
- Enjoy wine tasting at the Rutherglen wineries.
- Enjoy the scenic drive from Albury that follows the Murray River to Walwa across to Corryong, and then head back through valleys to Tallangatta and into Wodonga.
- Head up to Victoria's high country; with fantastic activites on offer all year round.
