Head Outdoors

Albury Wodonga’s magnificent natural landscapes and gardens are soul-enriching places to spend time. Head outdoors, breathe deeply and let your senses do the rest.
Stroll through the calm oasis of the Albury Botanic Gardens. Its stately trees and lush grass provide a refuge when summer’s heat is at its peak. In autumn, deep-red and burnt orange leaves create picture-postcard views and herald winter with a resplendent carpet.
Experience the Wonga Wetlands. Covering some 80 hectares, it's home to a diverse range of native plants and animals, including over 150 bird species.
There are unique treasures too within the rare Box-Gum Grassy Woodland covering the surrounding hills. The chocolate lily, which really does smell like chocolate, is one of the unexpected surprises that will reward your efforts if you explore trails at Monument Hill or Nail Can Hill Reserve in spring.
Families and friends gather beneath the stunning plane trees that frame Noreuil Park alongside the Murray River. There are 460 hectares of parks and reserves across Albury Wodonga, accessible by 100-plus kilometres of tracks and trails.
