Albury Wodonga residents love to party. Festivals, carnivals, concerts, markets and sporting events punctuate the event calendar.

Frock up for the biggest event and social highlight of the year, the Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup horseracing carnival in March. Few racing carnivals capture the attention of a community like this one. It attracts crowds of up to 20,000 people. The competition is fiece on the track and also in stands with fashions on the field.

Wodonga Carnivale also brings 20,000+ people together. Held over the March long weekend this signature event features live music, art workshops, parades, local and international performers, fire-twirling, street markets and fantastic multicultural food.

The natural environment lends itself to a range of hard-core sporting events. Start training for mountain bike and cycling races, kayaking events or the very hilly 11.3km Nail Can Hill Run.
