Snowfields

Albury Wodonga is the perfect base from which to explore Victoria's snowfields.

Regular bus services to the resorts operate from Albury Wodonga during winter. Local ski shops provide packaged day trips, including ski gear and equipment hire. Fly in to Albury and catch the bus up the mountain or charter a flight from Albury to Dinner Plain, a half-hour flight.

Enjoy downhill and cross-country snow skiing and snowboarding for all skill levels as well as toboggan trails, snow tubing and family activities. The fun continues beyond the slopes in the bars, cafés and restaurants, shops, movie theatres, gyms, indoor sports facilities and health spas.

When snow melts away there is still plenty of play with great activities all year round.

Mount Buffalo

Mount Buffalo, one of the oldest national parks in Australia, is an all-seasons attraction. Set out on bushwalks on crisp autumn mornings. Bring the family for snow play on the plateau in winter, and watch snow cascade into waterfalls in spring.

The sheer cliffs and imposing granite formations make for spectacular rock climbing and abseiling. Embark upon the ride of your life over the mountain in a powered hang-glider or a microlight. Bring up a canoe and paddle around Lake Catani, or try your hand at fly-fishing. You’ll also find great mountain biking tracks.

View breathtaking landscapes from Bents Lookout, The Horn or Mount Buffalo Chalet, which was built in 1910 on a 1400-metre cliff face.
