Milawa and King Valley

Taste Italian varietals that are uncommon in Australia, like prosecco, nebbiolo, sangiovese and barbera at family-run wineries such as Pizzini, Dal Zotto Estate, Sam Miranda and Ciavarella Wines.

You’ll need some gourmet eats to accompany all those fine wines. Hop on your bike, grab a map from the local Visitor Information Centre and pedal between small producers in welcoming villages, filling your basket with cheeses, nuts, trout, honey, wine and olives.

Make your way beyond stunning alpine vistas, acres of vineyards, plains of wildflowers and historic locations, stopping at the Milawa Cheese Factory Café for homemade cheeses. Sample local mustards, herb vinegars and preserves at Milawa Mustards, and join an olive tasting at the Olive Shop. Save time and space for a visit to the Epicurean Centre Restaurant at the famous Brown Brothers winery.
