Art in the Wetlands
For the first time, Wonga Wetlands will play backdrop to an exciting temporary art show. The exhibition features artworks created specifically for Wonga Wetlands, highlighting the themes of sustainability and the environment. All works will interact with the trees, water, and the earth providing visitors with a unique experience as they wonder through the beautiful springtime Wetlands.
The artists who have been chosen to contribute to the exhibition include: Dr. Michael Shiell, Jane Gillings, Bronwyn Cossor, Natalie Ward, Kath Fries, and Vernon Bartlett. As part of the exhibition Michael will be creating a new artwork each day during the first week of the exhibition. These daily pieces will be constructed from materials found at the wetlands.
The artists involved will be hosting a guided tour through the exhibition on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 September.
